The cultural committee of VGSoM is responsible for organizing and managing all the cultural activities conducted throughout
the year. We endeavor to create memories of a lifetime for our students through our events- replete with laughter, excitement
and joy. The committee plans several celebrations like Freshers’, Farewell, Diwali, Christmas etc. Simply put, we are the Purvodaya meaning “Rising of the East” is counted amongst
alarm clock that reminds the future managers to have fun, making sure they have a memorable two-year journey here at the the top business fests in India, due to the level of competition
Vinod Gupta School of Management. brought about by the country’s best minds from premier
schools across IIMs, IIT’s etc. Owing to the pandemic situation
in the country Purvodaya took up the challenge yet again by
conducting online events for the second time and successfully
achieving the feat.

“Breaking the Paradigms” was the theme of Purvodaya ’22,
which aims to reignite our fighting spirit and position us as
disruptors in this evolutionary age. The three-day long festival
started on 4th Feb 2022 which witnessed a footfall of over 6000
participants. Purvodaya ‘22 also saw industry participation
through sponsorships, guest interaction, Leadership Summits
and had top organizations like Business Standard and ISCEA as
corporate partners. It hosted distinct guests from the industry,
including Mr. Sanjiv Bajaj (Chairman and MD, Bajaj Capital),
Dr. Randeep Guleria (Director, AIIMS, New Delhi) Dr. Meeran
Borwankar (IPS(Retd)), Mr. Pravir Kumar- CEO, Reliance Jio,
Mr. Kaushik Mitra (VP & CFO, PepsiCo, India) and other
dignitaries who enlightened our audience with their insightful
speeches. In the previous years, it also hosted notable
dignitaries like Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal, Hon’ble Minister of
Education Government of India and Mr. Ronojoy Dutta, Chief
Executive Officer, Indigo and other such dignitaries.
