About the Envisioned and modelled along the lines of the Sloan

School of Management, MIT, the Vinod Gupta School of
School Management is the first B-School to be established within
the IIT ecosystem. The brainchild of a distinguished
alumnus and lifetime fellow of IIT Kharagpur, Mr. Vinod
Gupta, the eponymous institute was founded in 1993 in
collaboration with the Government of India and has grown
exponentially since then.

Mission

To develop outstanding management professionals and
future CEOs, who will lead organizations especially in
technology-driven and knowledge-based industries, in the
service of the nature and the community.

Vivacity of VGSoM

The Vinod Gupta School of Management seamlessly combines managerial expertise with technical know-how to provide
a holistic B-school education that is infused with engaging corporate interactions and swiftly adapts to the changing
industry dynamics.
Its unique position within the IIT ecosystem has allowed it to complement quality management education with the technical
excellence that is the hallmark of IIT Kharagpur to produce technology-driven managers and entrepreneurs over the course
of its 26-year long history. Currently ranked 6th among all the B-schools in the country by NIRF, Ministry of Human
Resource Development, Government of India, the institute has grown manifold since its humble inception, always pushing
the boundaries of conventional thought in its relentless pursuit for perfection.

The school proffers its student fraternity a multitude of opportunities to showcase their talents to the world. Our students
have time and again proved themselves to be the best in the industry competitions such as TITAN ELEVATE, L&T OutThink,
HUL L.I.M.E. to name a few. Our students have also rubbed shoulders with some of the nation’s brightest minds in industry
intercollege competitions of national significance such as XAMBOREE by XUB, Agon by IIM Ranchi and COHERENCE by
IIM Kashipur and others.
