Admission Process
Being one of the top management schools in India, VGSoM receives thousands
of applications each year from Indian and International students. While the
international students apply based on their GMAT scores, admission to Indian
students is based on the Common Admission Test (CAT) which is one of the most
competitive exams in the world. A candidate must have a first-class Bachelor’s
degree in Engineering/Technology or a first-class Master’s degree in Science (with
Mathematics or Statistics at the bachelor’s level), Economics or Commerce to be
considered for their admission in VGSoM. What sets VGSoM’s admission process
apart from the rest, is its holistic approach towards the admission process. Each
applicant is given an Application Rating which is a score based on various factors
such as CAT percentile, academic consistency and work experience. The selected
candidates are then called for a written ability test and a personal interview in
their city of choice. This helps the school gauge the potential of the applicants
and select the students who have the necessary aptitude and the right attitude for
a career in management.
