Vinod Gupta School of Management, IIT Kharagpur, for me was the start of a journey of transformation.
From just being an engineer with a nuts-and-bolts perspective, to a corporate and alliances strategy
professional directing and building global business ecosystems, is a journey made possible by VGSoM.
The opportunity to learn, the ability to engage within the IIT-system and an the access to the largest
global alumni network with an adaptive learning curriculum has been the biggest game-changer for me.
As for potential aspirants who are considering VGSoM as an important part of starting their management
career journey, the benefit of having an experienced and perceptive faculty along with the IIT brand will
always help them in every aspect of learning and career development. Hope all of you can capitalize on
the opportunity the same way I did.

I consider the two years spent at VGSoM, IIT Kharagpur the best two years of my life to date. For me
those were formative years with access to cutting edge thinking, a fantastic internship experience with
significant exposure to senior management and above all the camaraderie of my fellow classmates made
those years truly memorable.

VGSoM, as a brand, has evolved and become stronger over time. It helped broaden my horizon among
many other things and the learning I have taken from here will stay with me for a lifetime. One of the
first thing I learned here was a structured approach to problem solving and when I came out of VGSoM,
I was quite confident of my ability to use the same in a business context. Needless to say, the institute
helped build some strong fundamentals and really opened up my personality.
My advice to youngsters and future leaders is to follow your passion and utilize the unparalleled learning
opportunities associated with such an institute.

If I look back and see my entire professional life , I can truly say that VGSoM, IIT Kharagpur acted
not only as a catalyst in propagating my career but also gave it the right direction at the right time.
The opportunities, facilities and learning at VGSoM created the perfect environment for me to excel. I
remember those two glorious years as the most memorable, constructive and formidable years of my life.
